How do you get the different colors in the stone?
Answer: Brickface or stoneface is put up
in one color. Cement of different colors is mixed and then
put on by hand to customer specifications.
Question: Do
you have to put up galvanized steel lath?
Answer: Most applications require putting
up galvanized steel lath but if the base is clean cinder block
this step can be eliminated.
Question: How
do you do the corners of the house if the front is brickface
and the sides are vinyl?
Answer: The corners are wrapped around four
inches of brickface - it looks like one course of brick.
Question: Do we do driveways?
Answer: Brickface is a masonry coating –
it is not strong enough to be utilized for driveways.
Question: Do you offer the Dryv-it Products?
Answer: Garden State Brickface does not recommend
the use of this product as it does not meet our rigorous specifications.

more completely at the time of your design consultation.
Question: Can
you spray something over stucco to repair and preserve it
rather than redo the stucco?
Answer: Under some conditions an acrylic
coating may be used.
Question: Does Garden State Brickface do
roofing?
Answer: No. We specialize in exterior sidings
and replacement vinyl windows and doors.
Question: How much per square foot for brickface,
stoneface, stucco, and vinyl siding?
Answer: That’s a good question. All
of our work is custom designed to meet your specific needs
and therefore it is difficult to quote a price without seeing
the home or building. Our design consultants will be able
to answer all of your questions at the time of your free design
consultation.
Question: What is the smallest masonry
job you do?
Answer: Our minimum size project is $2,500
. We can determine if your job meets our minimum during
the appointment setting process.
Question: Can
you do fireplaces or other interior work?
Answer: Most of our work is on the exterior
of homes and commercial buildings. However, we have done interior
applications. The interior of the store, JR Tobacco, which
required a very special antique brick look, is one such example
for which we won a “Contractor of the Year” award
from the “National Association of the Remodeling Industry”.
Question: Can
you stucco over stucco?
Answer: Yes, brickface can be applied over
most surfaces.
Question: Do
we have to take down the existing siding on our home?
Answer: That is a good question and it is
a decision you will make together with your design consultant.
In certain situations it is advisable to leave the existing
siding up. In other, it is preferable to remove it.
Question: What
is the cost difference between brickface and vinyl siding?
Answer: Brickface is more expensive than
vinyl siding but gives you a greater value.
Question: Do
you have to take care of stucco, like paint it or some other
treatment?
Answer: Because the color is mixed in the
cement, our product is maintenance free.
Question: Can brickface be placed over existing
brick?
Answer: Yes. Brickface is an excellent solution
for brick with loosening mortar joints.
Question: Does
brickface and stucco add to the insulation value of the home?
Answer: Because brickface is a cement product
it insulates the house naturally.
Question: Does
vinyl siding face?
Answer: Permaface vinyl siding will not face
or scratch.
Question: Does
the color of brickface, stucco, stoneface change or fade?
Answer: The color is mixed in the cement.
It weathers naturally just like real brick.
Question: What
is the insulation value on a home once thermal wall insulation
is installed?
Answer: The board has an R-value of 4.3 but
the increased insulation value of the wall can’t be
determined.
Question: Can you cut a new size dimension
for the replacement windows?
Answer: Yes, all of our windows are custom
designed to your specifications.
Question: What
happens to the wood underneath the brickface?
Answer: The current condition of the wood
is preserved.
Question: Can
you do anything other than the exterior of the house in brickface?
Answer: Yes, foundations, cheekwalls and
risers of steps, retaining walls, and chimneys.
Question: Does
saltwater destroy brickface?
Answer: No, saltwater does not damage the
brickface facade.
Question: Do
you fix cracks in stucco/brickface?
Answer: Garden State Brickface Windows &

stucco, brickface, and stoneface crack?
Answer: Hairline cracks are normal in any
type of masonry work. These are rarely visible to the point
of interfering with the aesthetic beauty or integrity of the
