How We Apply Hardcoat to Your Home

Hardcoat is a masonry process of three applications of hand-trowelled cementitious material in a choice of colors. The third coat is a smooth exterior acrylic finish.

Our cementitious material is a hard, durable non-toxic exterior surfacing of a unique formula created by Garden State Brickface.

Hardcoat installation technique

Step One – An initial application, or scratch coat, of cementitious material is applied, allowed to set-up slightly and then “scratched”.

Step Two – A color coat of specially tinted cementitious material is applied to the scratch coat by hand, allowed to set-up slightly, and immediately followed by the next application.

Step Three – We apply a smooth exterior acrylic stucco finish.

The cost for a hardcoat surface is evaluated based on the size of your home or building and will vary with the type of service you require, and the tools and materials we will need to complete the project. During our free on-site inspection and consultation, we will outline the scope of the project and provide you with a free, no-obligation quotation.
